This capability is only accessible to Owners or Admins on an account. Account Users will not have access to this function.

Steps:

  1. Open the Relay app

  2. Tap on Devices

  3. Tap on the desired Relay device

  4. Scroll down until you see the Check for Updates

  5. Tap the square with an arrow button to the right of Check for Updates

Additional Notes

  • Connectivity - In order to successfully update the Relay, it will need to have a cellular or WiFi connection to be Online and thus connect to the Relay servers for the update

  • Version - Only Relays with software version 98 and above (How to determine your current software version) will have access to this option; if the software version is 92, then it would require that you leave the Relay powered on and charging so that it updates overnight on its own

  • Charge - The Relay will also need at least 15% battery life to initiate an update (we recommend having the Relay connected to the charging cable just to be certain)
